These are based on the Ruba'iyat, a Persian poem by Omar Khayyam (read it here). You can download the pattern (it's free!) through Ravelry here.
I think Persian aesthetics are gorgeous, and these are no exception. The designer mentions she was inspired by a book of rug patterns.
My colors were inspired by eggplants. Something warm, colorful, and tasty for cold winter days.
